This Sack~Backed Jacket was worn over a Petticoat and with a Kerchief at the neck.  This Jacket was worn in France approx. 1740~1780 and in England approx. 1745~1780.  Such Jackets could have sleeves with Plain Winged Cuffs or Fur or the Fan~Shaped.  They could have also had bands of Frilled or Ruched Ribbon finishing the sleeves.
